Sudhir Kanta Adhikary : ウィキペディア英語版 | Sudhir Kanta Adhikary
Sudhir Kanta Adhikary (1915–2002) was a militant Indian nationalist who was active in the Indian independence movement. A member of the anti-British Anushilan Samiti organisation, he was considered dangerous by the British Indian authorities and spent more than 10 years in gaol for recruiting in Benares, Dinajpur and elsewhere. He was freed upon Indian independence in 1947. Adhikari was recognised as a freedom fighter by the new Union of India and granted pensions from both the central government and that of West Bengal. After independence, he retired from politics and became a school teacher in Harirampur. He died at the age of 87, survived by his wife, Madhuri Adhikary, also a former independence fighter. ==References==
